Wednesday's Midweek Mission (5909)

Our Midweek Mission time for our kids and students begins on 8/20! Bring your elementary kids to church on Wednesday night for a time of Bible basics, worship wonder (Kid's Choir), and mission moments. This time on Wednesday nights is more than childcare; it is a time of equipping, fellowship, and growth for our youngest saints and future saints! Your students will study God's word, engage in team building games, and share struggles in small groups. This time helps them grow in their faith and expand their understanding of God. 

At church:
Preschool kids will arrive and eat. They will spend time outside, engaging in an interactive Bible time, worship God through music and art, and complete hands on activities and crafts!
Elementary kids will arrive and eat. Then each grade will go to its own location to read the Word, discuss, memorize, sing, play games, and travel the world through the eyes of a missionary! Throughout the year, each grade will walk through the story of the Bible in a chronological way.
Students are learning how to dig deep in their understanding of God's word and what that looks like in everyday life. How can they share truth with their peers? How can they learn to resist temptation? How can they learn to rely on the Holy Spirit? How can they learn to trust their parents, trust God, and trust each other in a world that tells them otherwise? At Elevate our students are being equipped for these questions and much more.

At home:
Preschool kids will bring home their artwork and activity sheets related to the lesson.
Elementary kids will bring home a card connected to the lesson. The card has conversational questions families can ask in the car or at home throughout the week!
Students are challenged to share their struggles and their wins with you as their parent. Ask them the hard questions; they want you to! Throughout the week they are encouraged to stay in the word and reach out to their small group and small group leaders for accountability and encouragement. 

In order to participate, it is important to register and pay online. If your child or student plans to participate, please register by 8/6 if possible. This will help us know group-sizes, how much food is needed, how many activity supplies to have ready, etc. 

FAQs: 

• What about nursery and preK younger kids? We will offer a nursery (6-30 months old) and a discipleship-focused preK (21/2 years-4k) event for children of those who are in a life group or who are serving with kids or youth on Wednesday nights. 
• What if my child wants to bring a friend as a visitor? Will there be a cost for that? No, we want to be hospitable to guests. Once someone has attended three times, we will ask them to register.
• If someone joins later in the year, will they have to pay the whole cost? If a family joins before December the cost is $70. If a family joins after December for the second semester the cost will be $35.
• Do parents pay the same amount for kids of different ages? Yes. The cost is the same for babies, preK, elementary kids, and students.
